You're Beautiful Ep. 1 (Korean)- Commentary/Thoughts

Ok so I just started the Korean drama, “You’re Beautiful” and I’ve seen k-dramas and I know there is a lot… that they just do in order to make stuff happen. But only like two minutes in and there is unnecessary stuff -_- like seriously? This doesn’t happen in real life and if I could fault Asian dramas for one thing, it would be unnecessary drama. I know it’s a “drama” but still, I just… ugh. I hate when coincidental things happen that literally never happen in real life just to create drama and hate and spite or all that stuff. Anyway… I know there will be a lot in here, im prepared… sorta… but I just hope that there is enough genuinely funny things to help balance out how annoyed I know I’ll get.
I do see a glimmer of hope! HongKi’s character, cause he looks like he’s gonna be the kinda dumb and funny one XD but we’ll see eh?
Omg, ok, I’m a really observant person and I notice people, and I make it a point to notice people where ever I go. Safety, yo. And so it really irks me when a character is all alone or whatever and someone, who is literally in plain sight is watching them and that character doesn’t know about it. Like seriously, that’s how bad things happen, when you don’t pay attention -_-  But, I mean, in general, I just see things, ya know and its annoying when characters don’t for the sake of story or a camera shot or something.
I do like how the girl kicked the random dude in the nuts, I’d do that XD However, then she does something dumb by going with the random guy (she didn’t even for proof of credentials or anything!!!) just because he knows her brother. WTF? Stranger Danger!!!! (Also… I’m trying really hard not to use… language… cause… yeah, I want this to be relatively clean and all x’D) Like, how does she know her “brother” (Its just her  dressed as a guy -_-) and what trouble is he in exactly? He doesn’t say, maybe its coming up, but this is just… bad story telling.
And next… Sasaeng Fans… I’m pretty sure that’s what they are if they’ve been there for three days. Ai ya yay.  And then she’s so struck by the guys’ beauty that she stands still. I do love how Hongki is the funny one though ^_^
And of course… She looks like a girl… still with short hair… Ugh. It also bothers me when the character cross dress, for like legit “real” and they still look like either a girl or a boy. Like, aint no one gonna believe that! I like how they brought it up, but still -_- Just saying, but if I had to go like undercover as a guy or something (well, I’m not tall enough, for one, though I am taller than some) I’d get a trainer and stuff, a team behind me, to give me an exercise regimen that made me look like a guy as much as possible and a diet regimen and then a wig and makeup team and just—it’d be a lot of planning, basically. More like She’s the Man and White Chicks than… other things, basically.  Also… Jang Guen Suk is skinnier than I thought he was…
And of course… she “sings” like a girl. I don’t know if she’s actually singing, or someone did it for her, but I hate when it sounds prerecorded, as most things are, but still… *sigh* And I guess she’s good… but not that good, like… I don’t really care for the high, airy voices. I like stronger, more resonate ones that are clear and well more David Phelps-y, or Josh Groban-y, or heck, Beyonce-y XD
Ok… this “Reverend Mother” said “I didn’t ask what God’s will was, I asked what you want”. WTF??? I don’t think there is a real nun who would say that! Life ain’t about “what we want”, its about finding God’s will for us and spreading His love and his Word. I mean, I sorta get what the lady is saying, but I think the script writers are a bit dumb… on second thought, a lot dumb. There is a lot of dumb stuff that happens in these shows -_- But I agree that since this girl was raised in the convent (I guess… that’s what she said, but I dunno if kids actually get raised at convents…) and all she has known are nuns and religious life, that she might think that God’s will was for her to be a nun and the nun realizes that maybe that’s not God’s will for her—I just think it was worded all wrong in order to somehow sound “profound”. Like “oh, follow your heart”. No, that’s not how it works, you follow God because he knows what’s best and how our lives can be the happiest.  I think what we “want” can help us into figuring things out, that our interests help guide us, but I don’t we should “follow what we want” because what we want always changes and stuff and we think we know what’s best, but we really don’t. Anyway, yeah, one sentence turns into a whole page. But it was on my mind and I had to say something. OMG!!! I play it again and the nun says “no one can be sure of His will”… What the actual falafel!?!?! What’s the point of saying you’re a Christian and all that if you aren’t sure of His will and his plan, not only for salvation, but for your life?!?!? OMG, this is irritating me. A real nun would not say this and you can tell this is so scripted and shizznaps. What’s an easy angry emoji to type?
Ok, clearly there is a lot I have to say, and its only been 30 min… so… if some big comes up that I do or don’t like, I’ll say it, but I’ll try to refrain since this is so long xD Then again, with me, long is what you get.
Darn it, I actually have a lot to say >_< but I’m trying not to make this longer. Ok, I can’t do it. Omg, if someone drops their ticket, jut go back to the desk and the desk will call out for the person on the PA system, don’t go looking for them! Ugh, there, not too long.
Ok, back again, like 5 min later, but Why is it that these people that dramatically cut their hair to look like a boy think that they can do a better job than a professional??? Just get it done! You don’t have to tell them why. And then, even though these characters “cut their own hair” it’s perfect.  -_- Yeah right. Ugh. One thing I like better about American TV shows is that they are usually… more realistic. And you’re probably thinking, why do you watch Asian stuff if you complain so much? Well, usually the good outweighs the bad… usually… and I like how the Asian ones aren’t all about sex and stuff. Cause you cant deny that sex and violence and other graphic things are prevalent on western shows, and I don’t really like that.
Ok, I have to admit, that bidet part, was pretty freaking hilarious and I laughed so hard!!! See, this is why I usually like these shows, they also do the funniest  funny things and it helps to alleviate the… other parts… But yeah, great scene!! :D Also, her being drunk was pretty funny, though heavily exaggerated.  So over all… I’d say it ended better than it started and I’ll keep watching. Its not amazing, but the funny parts towards the end, were quite funny, however the parts I didn’t like… well, I’m just glad they were at the beginning .
