I wrote this as I watched the eps, and I don’t know where I’ll
be when this gets published, because I’mm try to set the time and date and
stuff, but let me just preface it all, but saying that I like Ikemen Desu Ne,
SOOOOO much better than “You’re Beautiful”. Like, so much. Just, so much more.
Ok, so I just started the first ep of the Japanese version
of You’re Beautiful and its called Ikemen Desu Ne, and already it just seems
better! Like I’ve only watched like 2 min and it seems better. The main thing
being, this girl doesn’t run like an idiot, unlike the other one. And it lays the plot a lot better than the
Korean version. I like the main girl
better, so far, but so far I like the Korean guys better. But that’s probably
because I’m more familiar with them. And let me just say I LOVE the manager
dude XD He’s so funny!!!
I think I’m on episode 2 of the Japanese version and dang.
It takes the story from the Korean, but somehow… just does it better and more
to the point, ya know? OH MY GOSH!!!! HA
HA HA HA HA HA HA! The director of the company just screamed out HOLY SHIT! XD
and it was just the funniest thing. He had like no accent either. It was
perfect! XD Maybe this isn’t the 2nd ep… it might just be a really
long 1st ep, but so far I think that the Japanese version is putting
more meaning behind the character’s and giving them real motivations. The
Korean version is pretty shallow and is just about getting the characters to
fall in love, but the Japanese version seems to actually have heart to it and
have a bigger picture it wants to display. Its gonna be hard finishing the
other one -_-
I must be terrible XD because these “deeply dramatic and
emotional” scenes keep popping up but I think they are just so hilarious XD But
then again, these types of forced drama things usually go this way XD
Especially when they are so obviously trying to make two characters fall in
love. Although, I must say, the Japanese version is doing a much better job at
making the story more to the point and just moving on while still being
relatively poignant. I really do like this one so much better. Though I feel
like one may not be able to appreciate how much better this one is, without
watching the Korean first. It’d still be good, but you wouldn’t have that reference
point XD
OMG! The funniest character is the director of the company!
He’s very eccentric and uses a lot of English phrases, but he’s so out there
and he makes great facial expressions—he’s just great! I love character actors
and character acting, because they’re just so different from people in real
life. And when I find “characters” in real life, I just think its so cool!
Cause’ a bit of one XD
I find that I'm not writing as much about the Japanese one because I don't have as much to complain about and so I'm enjoying it more and just not wanting to stop and write as often. So... that good! I think some more "real" drama is about to start, which I probably won't appreciate, but so far, so much better! :)
