Prison Break is BAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKK!!!!!! For 8 more episodes anyway XD And I was so excited to watch the first episode tonight! Now, it wasn't a total surprise for me because I watched all the clips and behind the scenes online, so I knew a lot going in, but man, there were still some big surprises that had me going. And yes, I will be talking spoilers.
I was sorta surprised that the action and the bad guys trying to kill them started so early in the episode XD But, it made it really fast paced and I liked it. I'm sure they did it that way because its more of a mini series and they needed to get things going very fast. Actually, that's probably one down side of this episode was that it might have been a little too fast paced. They went through about a week in 40 min. After every commercial break another day or two had already passed. Not faulting them, but it was sort of choppy feeling pacing wise. But like I said, I get it, they wanted to get to the point.
I really liked T-Bag because coming from the original one, despite T-Bag being pretty much the worst one of the Fox River group, you still feel for him and how he grew up and stuff. You see how turned out so... bad and you can't help but still root for him. So when it opened on him, I was all, "Good evening Mrs Hollander," in my best accent XD Linc, of course is the heart of this episode and man when he dug up the not so dead body of Michael, his reaction was great! And props to Sarah for still being a bad ass all these years later. I feel sorry for her new husband though... he got wrapped in it quick and if he doesn't end up dying, its gonna be tough on him. I do wonder if he's gonna get killed off though, ya know. Or if Michael will die in the end. Because if Michael is still somehow the same good guy, and he's just not been able to do his thing for 7 years, then he is redeemable for Sarah and little Mikey and there is a chance that they end up together again. But, then what about the husband? So I'm guessing that one of them dies. Cause I doubt that the writers would have Michael and Sarah be apart, unless he is truly not who he used to be. If he's not the same, then its understandable, but... the little scene at the end where Michael is walking away and he closes his eyes, I think he is still the same, deep down inside. I think he wanted to have a heart felt reuinion with Linc, but I don't think he's allowed.
Gah!!! So many questions!!! But it does seem like Homer's Odyssey will play a role in metaphors and in Code Names and stuff again. First there is the Prison, Ogygia, and then the people that paid for T-bag's hand was "Nobody" and the eyes on Michael's hands... Hmmmmmm. What's it all mean. Its been a while since I've rewatched the original run, but I know Scylla was what season 4 was all about. Its possible that this is still a continuation of all that stuff. They did do an operation on Michael's brain, maybe they left something behind to control him? I think T-Bag's hand will be interesting too because that's connected to his nervous system and of course his brain. We already saw the bad guys control Linc's rental car, what is technology and remote controlling things is a big part of this? Hmmmmmm.....
If anyone reading this has any thoughts, let me know! Until the next ep, Toodles and God Bless! ^_^
