What I'm doing for Lent + Oscar reaction XD

Dehm Oscars DOH!!!!!! WHOOOOOO XD XD XD XD Anyone watch those? Cause woah! Not gonna lie, I literally believe that someone, along the way of that whole Best Picture fiasco did it all on purpose. I don’t think many people knew, but I really think someone did it on purpose. It was just too… too… internet worthy, ya know. With the Miss Universe mishap last year and how… stimulated the political and social waters are right now, I dunno, it just seem like somehow someone wanted this to happen. I think it was handled well by all the people on stage, but man, it was also pretty funny! XD In a shocked and OMG way XD

Back to what I was gonna talk about before the Oscars, is LENT! I’ve decided to do the hardest thing ever for me, food wise, and give up sugar and dairy (for real) and soy for lent. And honestly, for, like, the rest of my life 0_o
I want to give up sugar, especially regular cane sugar (I already do my best to stay away from corn syrup and all that) because we all know that sugar is the real enemy food wise. It aint fat and carbs, its sugar. Especially super processed white sugar. Even organic cane sugar is still barely better. So yeah, but since I’m such a sweets person I figured that, until I can possible cut sugar out almost completely, I would substitute it for coconut sugar because its at least better. Its supposed to have more nutrients, more vitamins and minerals and stuff, and its supposed to be not as high on the glycemic index and all that. So… I figure for now, for Lent, I’ll make as much of my desserts by scratch as I can to severely limit what I buy from the outside.
I'm cutting out dairy fo realz, because well, I’ve cut it out on and off for about three years now. I figured that my acne was at least a bit related to dairy and so every since I stopped drinking straight up milk and limiting my ice cream and overall dairy consumption, my acne has gone down. I was always pretty lenient towards cheese, especially in sandwiches and pizza and other pre-prepared meals, though, and at least for Lent, imma cut it all out! Imma try to cut it out for good overall, but if I’m eating out, I’m not gonna stress if there are no non dairy options ya know. A breakout or two aint worth starving to death XD
As for soy, I’ve just heard and researched that its really not the best because of its… either it has high estrogen levels or it does something to estrogen… and too much of any hormone is no beuno. The hard thing about soy, though, is that its literally in soooooo many things if you look at ingredients lists. Mostly its in a “soy lecithin” which is an emulsifier which means it is there to thicken up whatever its in. So, its an additive that just really doesn’t need to be there, so why should I eat it? Huh? Yeah. Plus, most soy is heavily genetically modified and it doesn’t seem like genetic modification is such a good thing, and I rather eat as little of it as possible. Ya feel meh? XD
So yeah, that’s what I’m doing for Lent. I’m also gonna try to exercise more again. I was doing so good last year, but I also had an gym class and a gym membership… this year I aint got dat, so Imma have to do more of those exercise vids that I watch and sub to XD
So yeah, I’d ask what are you doing for Lent… but I doubt anyone is gonna reply. But whatevs, what are you doing???? And remember, don’t give up something that is easy, or do start doing something that is easy, do something that is a legit real challenge. Jesus literally DIED on the cross for you. He was kept up for like two whole days in trials and whippings and had to carry his own heavy cross and then had nails slammed into his body and slowly suffocated up in the air all for us! God died for us. Cause remember, we call Jesus “the son”, but He was FULLY God. God, literally died for us cause we is so stupid and full of sin, and yet so full of potential because we were created and we are loved by God! God died for us because He loves us. The least we can do it give up chocolate or TV or internet overindulgence for 40 days

My favorite YouTube Channels part 1

I just watched Nigahiga's latest video, the "How to be Politically Correct" one, and if you know Ryan, you know that its gonna be satirical XD And it was.
Now, I've been meaning to make this post for forever... I hope this isn't a repeat... But even if it is, I think some things might have changed or been added to the list. So lets get to it!
     1. NigaHiga/ Ryan Higa
I've been watching NigaHiga since... about 2009? 2009 or 2010, and I think he is literally the only YTer that I have stayed subbed to and watched every single video he's made since and before. The first video I watched was his House parody and that was posted on May 17, 2009!!! So yeah, its been a while XD One of my new high school friends, at the time, (my man, you know who you are if you read this XD) told me about him and I've been hooked ever since!!! I love his sense of humour and how he's able to think of jokes and puns and stuff. I've said it before, but my brain just does not think that way, and I'm meant to be "the audience" to that stuff XD I also love that he's asian! Woohoo! Cause ya'll know I'm half, and at the time I think he was the number 1 subbed person on YT, and him and Smosh would occasionally go back and forth, and I was just so impressed that Asians were making it in the world! Actually... on second thought, I didn't quite appreciate that at the time, but looking back, I'm def impressed. I also like how he's always doing cool things and how he's always done videos with this friends and how much of a good person he seems to be and how he and his friends just seem to get along so well and do great stuff. Now, ya'll know that I'm super Christian, and I'm not actually sure if he is... but for the most part, I'd say that he at least acts Christian and at least like he was raised Christian, so I highly appreciate that. But yeah, Love NigaHiga and I'll always watch his stuff! :D
     2. ChaseGodTV/Joseph Solomon
This is a newer one, and the past year or so I've really been trying to find new and good Christian YTers and I think I found him through... I dunno actually, but I did and I really like how Joe goes into good detail about explaining scripture and helps to interpret it in context and he tells it how it is. He doesn't just bring up the fluffy feel good Gospel parts of the Bible, he brings up the dirty parts too. We are all sinners and have fallen short and therefore we need God and his grace and he love to save us. He doesn't shy away from that stuff. He's really good at explaining and talking and lately he's been vlogging too. He also sings and writes poetry. I do all I can to learn about scripture in context and to hear what I need to hear, even if I don't want to and Joe does a great job of all of that. Plus, he's got a great sense of humour, I think XD I love it when he goes into his mini skits with himself to help explain a situation XD So yeah! I been loving his videos lately and I've watched most everything, starting from the begining and I love to either start my day off with one of his vids or end the day. Of course, I can watch him during the day too XD But yeah, check him out!!
     3. Blimey Cow and Jordan Taylor
Blimey Cow has been a staple to the Christian YT community for basically as long as YT has been around and I only found them sometime last year XD BlimeyCow does skits about relevant topics, and Christian stuff and world views, and quite a few on relationships of all kinds. They use a lot of humour, a lot of sarcasm, and they keep it simple, but its gold every time! I have a tab open right now to watch their latest vid. Jordan, the face of Blimey Cow has a personal YT channel as well and he just posts what he wants over there. There are vlogs and artsy stuff and q&a's and thoughts on topics and even him taste testing junk food and stuff since he's a health nut XD So yeah, a both channels have been a great new addition this past year : )
     4. Hunter Avallone
Now, Hunter is maybe a more "controversial" addition. Mostly because he's one of those YTers that comments on current events. Mostly social events and since he is a conservative Christian and supported Trump... well you can guess his views on a lot of stuff going on right now. But what I like about him is that he does his research about topics and he does a good job of supporting his views with facts. I personally agree with a lot of his views, though I think he uses a bit too much of certain words. He doesn't curse, but he uses other words that some may find offensive, but if you watch even one of his videos you'll find out that he doesn't care if he hurts your feelings XD Because feelings don't matter, facts do. But yeah, he also uses a lot of sarcasm in his videos and he's been a late addition as well.
      5. Collider Video
These guys are my GO TO source for movie news. After all these Christian YTers you might have been thinking, does she watch anything else? And yes, I do, I watch a lot of movie news as well. Collider used to be AMC movie news, if you think that sounds familiar and they are most know for their daily movie news podcast/live stream where they bring you the latest movie news and some insight into what it all means XD that's their catch phrase. My fav pannelist is John Campea. I find that I have the most similar taste in movies to him, though I have not seen nearly as many movies as that man. I also really like Christian and Mark of the SchmoeKnow show and Jeremy is quickly becoming a fav too, as well as Clarke Wolfe; my fav host is Natasha. That being said, i really like all of the crew. They've grown so much since the AMC days and its become quite a well rounded channel with lots of things to watch and a great rotation of speakers. Besides their daily Movie Talk episodes I really like the Movie Trivia SchmoeDown!! I'm always super excited for that because I love trivia games! I really like the Inner Geekdom ones too because they had a category dedicated to LOTR and the Hobbit ^_^ When I get ready for bed I'll watch the latest one which is the Championship match between Dan Murrell and John Rocha. :D I'm betting on Dan mostly because he has not lost yet. This is his... 3rd or 4th time, I think, defending the title and he has yet to lose! That man is a beast at this game! Seriously! I also really like the team matches and I think... I think my fav is.... wait I can't pick. I like Team Trek with Jason Inman and Scott Mantz and I like Wolves of Steele with Clarke Wolfe and Mark Reily. My fav singles to watch is Mark Ellis cause he's always cracking jokes and keeping it light hearted. I also do like Clarke, cause she keeps is Classy XD Macuga is also a very surprising player and is good at pulling guesses out of his ass XD But yeah!!! Collider video! I recommend if you love movies and TV! They have Movie Talk every week day, TV talk every Monday as well as Jedi Council (All about Star Wars), Heroes (all about comic book stuff), Nightmares (Horror and the like) and Bloopers (nuff said), Crash Course (helping you get up to speed on popular topics and explaining stuff), Schmoedown (movie trivia), Mail Bag (user submitted questions), Movie Reviews (Non Spoiler and Spoiler), Interviews, Walking Dead and SW Rebels reviews, and much more!!!!
SO yeah, as I got to Collider, I realised that I should probably stick to just 5 and make a part 2 and 3 and however many more I need XD Cause this got long! So yea, check out all these channels! NigaHiga, ChaseGodTv, BlimeyCow, Hunter Avallone, and Collider Video :) Toodles for now!

I Pity The Fool

I'm still watching Babylon 5... and... its quite an emotional roller coaster if you take the series seriously. In the episode I'm watching, basically, the bad guys, are trying to break the main good guy, emotionally and physically through manipulation and very slanted views of what "the truth" is. And... it makes me think how I would be if I were in a torture situation. And basically, I figured out, that I truly would... and do pity the people who... think that, who truly think that there is nothing beyond this world than death. Or those that think they can... control others and change them and hurt them because for some reason they are better and they happen to have the "power".
Now, I have two perspectives on this-- one is a personal, physical perspective, and one is a theoretical one that I've just thought out over the years. Some time ago, someone I know experienced... well, several unsavory scams over various forms of communication. There wasn't much I could do until it was too late and when I was in the thicke of it, I could have beaten to a pulp any person connecting with the scam side. I literally do not understand, one, why people feel the need to take from others. Others that don't have much themselves, and take from them under extremely false pretenses. I do not understand what these people think they have to gain by stealing from the poor. Stealing from anyone for that matter, but especially those that can stand something like that the least. I also do not understand why people would agree to work for people who run scams. I don't care how bad your situation in life is. You should not resort to ruining the lives of others just to earn a few bucks. I would basically rather be killed than go along with senseless acts of immorality. I do not know how people like that can sleep at night. They must be all sociopaths and psychopaths. There is no excuse to put others through pain just for.. for what? I don't even know what. I really don't.
This... unsavory experience is what first really got me thinking about situations like this. Where, people just do bad things to others and why. Why do they do it? They must not truly believe in God. They must not believe in the true God anyway. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If you truly believe in God and that He sent His Son-- that He sacrificed himself to atone for our sins, then you wouldn't treat others and in turn jeopardize your own self and soul for... petty things like an extra pay day or maybe even your own life. I would rather be killed than have to kill someone else or do something terrible to someone else. Its not worth me screwing me up in order to save me or "save" someone else. I know in movies they do the scenario a lot that goes something like "do this bad thing, and we won't kill this other good person." And usually, the person does the bad thing in the hopes that they won't kill or harm the other person. But, the way I see it, why should I endanger my soul by commiting a sin to supposedly save someone else? It doesn't work like that. Our bodies are just a shell anyway, what happens to our bodies doens't truly matter and the pain that we endure for Christ in this life will be rewarded in the next. I just... as much as I'm talking about what I'd do, it just makes me think and really feel sorry and pity for the people who do these bad things and make others do the same bad things. How terrible their view of the world must be. How bleak. How Godless and how full of evil and sin is must be. I truly, truly, pray for those people. That they would... see the light, see the forgiveness of God and repent and turn away from their evil deeds. I really, truly, pray for them. And if you are one of those people, I pray for you. Even if you don't want me to, I am, because I care. I want to see as many people as possible in Heaven and when God makes a new Earth. :)
And a side note, which might just mess up what I all just said. If I ever met and knew who it was that scammed the person I know, I'd be hard pressed to not beat them up. I wouldn't kill them, but it would be nice to inflict just a little pain and damage for all the pain and damage they caused. I'd pray for myself not to, but I gotta admit that it would probably feel good. At least at first, because I'm sure it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying as I think it would be. But, hey. I'm not perfect and that's why I need Jesus, and so do you.

How Will I Want to be Remembered When I Die

Well, actually, I've always had a bit of trouble with this question. I dunno if its just me, but I don't really care if people remember me after I die. Is that weird? Now I get that my friends and family that are alive will remember me, but I don't really care about my name or anything that I've done "going down in history". I've always found it weird when people say what they want to be remembered for, or when they say that they want to be remembered at all. I've always found it a little weird when people say something along the lines of "if I just made a difference, for even one person, then my life would have mattered". And one thing that has stuck with me from watching the LOTR behind the scenes stuff is when Christopher Lee said something like, "When I take a role, I think about two things: is the character important to the story and will me being in the role, be remembered." And don't shoot me if thats not exactly what he said. But its always slightly bothered me when people admit that they want to be remembered after their death.
I should probably explain now XD But, all in all, I want to live for God. I want my life to be a testimony to His love and His light in  my life. I want to be an example for others and to show others that God, the Creator of the world, has a plan for you and for me and that He loves us and wants us all to be closer to Him. I want my life to be God's will. And therefore, I really don't care if I'm remembered for any "great deeds" after I'm gone from this world, because... I was never doing anything for anyone here anyway. Ya know? Or at least, that's my goal XD I don't want to please others, I want to please the Lord, and in doing so, I think I can then please others. But I don't care about the judgements of the world. I only care about God's judgement and if what I'm doing, if my life, truly brings glory to His name.
Now... I dunno if I'm wording that right... But then again, i technically don't care what you think XD Your judgment of me, in this life, does not matter to me. And, so when people say that they want to be remembered, I guess I just... don't see the point. Its not the world's place to place their judgements on me, its not going to matter. So, in that way, I don't care about the judgments of the world, and therefore, being remembered or not. Now, this is also probably an easy thing to say since I am not famous and am barely remembered right now by many people XD But, its all right. Because as I've already said, I ain't living my life for others, I'm living it for God. And even if I were to be remembered for any great deeds, I suppose I would just wish that all the credit was remembered to go to God, because I can do all thing through Him who gives me strength.
But anyway, I dunno, I just thought I'd say this XD I don't really care about being "remembered" cause I'll always be loved my my Father in Heaven ^_^ And you are too! Don't forget that :) That's one thing we should remember in this life anyway XD

Babylon 5- Mid Series Thoughts

I don't think I've come across another human being... besides my family-- correction, my dad and his brothers and my grandpa, that have even heard of Babylon 5 before I asked them about it. XD Its a sci-fi show from the 90's that is one of my favs :D And one of my fav characters, if not my favorite character is Susan Ivanova XD She's probably the closest one to my personality and she gets the hilarious lines XD Or she's like a back board for someone else's hilarious line XD
For example, just in this episode, Season 3, episode 3, two of my favorite lines happened. One was earlier in the ep when Ivanova said something like "Trying to look for the good in every situation Captain?" and Sheridan was all "Yes... otherwise I'd be like you." XD XD And then she was all "What?? Did anyone hear that?" That scene is so funny to me XD And then at the end after the drama in the ep happens she says "If I happen to live through this without completely losing my mind, it will be a miracle of Biblical proportions." XD And then Lt. Corwin says "Well, there goes my faith in the Almighty." XD XD XD Omg, I had to replay that a couple times XD It might not be funny just reading it, but after you've spent, well years, with these characters, stuff like that is just super hilarious! XD
There are sooooo many other lines that I find just hilarious! And they come from all of the characters. And there are a lot of heartwarming moments too, and I find that this show is pretty well rounded, and even though some things are cheesy cause its from the 90's I think its one of the show that have stood the test of... at least the last 20 years. Its not perfect, and as I'm older and more... well more religious and looking for positive displays of faith in what I consume media wise, I'm finding more flaws in it than since I last watched it, but there are other things that I find more meaningful too. The thing I probably like the least about it... is that most of the characters are not Christian (just as I'm writing this part, a part with some Christian monks comes up XD) and so they don't always reason certain situations or say things in the way that I would... most agree with. But overall, I can't say that the characters have made the wrong decisions. They may not have a solid Christian backing to what they say, but their actions are at least commendable and better than some people who say they are yet lack action. The thing I like most about this series, mind you, I'm only half way through rewatching it, is the many characters. There are many types of species and races and ideas and stuff represented that it just makes it a very interesting and engaging show. It also deals with... challenges that are similar to that of things going on now, and maybe things that will actually go on in the future. One thing I've found to like about sci-fi shows is that they often bring lots of social commentary and warnings about the future, based on the past, if things should happen, and also if they should not happen. But since its usually with aliens and stuff, it becomes a sort of allegory, one to where you almost don't notice it until it hits you that your world and that of the show are similar to many degrees. By the way, if I seem like I'm typing in a more fancy way, I watched Pride and Prejudice earlier XD It takes a good day for the fancy talk to wear off XP
So overall, if you have not seen Babyon 5, I recommend it :) Its a good 20 years old, and some things, especially the graphics are super cheesy, but it has great characters that never age and story lines that are relateable and relevant. And... I won't spoil it, but there are cute love stories too ^_^ Well, one main one XD It doesn't take long to figure out who, but they really are a great couple throughout the series :)
Anyway, just wanted to write this. Toodles for now and God Bless!
